Has anyone here had any experience doing this with a keg or any other stainless bits ? I have come to the conclusion that I shuould pull finger and have a go at building a boiler. Have secured an old 18 gal keg in pretty good nick, and have just had a talk with an electro place that quoted me $60-100 to do it. Surprised it was so cheap. Anyway, would be interested in anyone’s past results. ( I’m not expecting a mirror finish but he did show me a plate sample an what to expect, within reason.)
Cheers fellas

Nope, not done it, but then our boiler is wrapped up in insulation to steady the boiling ... so for me that would not be money well spent.

Don't take that as a hit, tho! Just stating what I did. $100 thats 4 bags of Malted Barley...

Fair enuff, my goal is to have a gleaming boiler, albeit probably as old as me . Anyway, I guess in a week or so I’ll answer my own query.

It’s the opposite, I’m not sure of the fluid used but it’s put into a tank and zapped. These fellas have a 1m x 1m x 1.7m tank . Apparently it will accentuate the two small dings in it but that’s ok, no stress. Both on same side so can be hidden at the back. Saves wearing the hands down to the bone.

:handgestures-thumbupleft: I’ll look in to it myself :handgestures-thumbupleft: looks like it could be a good and easy way for a lovely shiny finish, I’m thinking my pc.. only part that’s not FSD and shiny.
