Monitoring water flow

Here is a little project that may appeal to a few members here. It provides a digital readout of the water flow, and can be connected inline with the product condensor, dephlegm or incomming/outgoing water.

That meter is reading 2.98 L/minute

You will need an Electronic Flow Rate Meter with LCD and a Digital Flowmeter Reed Switch
These are available from Jaycar, and are quite expensive for what they are.
I used the higher flow meter, Digital Flowmeter - Hall type 1.5 - 25 L/Minute and had to splice the leads to extend them. Also with this flowmeter, it's not accurate, but does the job. Next time I'll grab the lower rated flowmeter

To connect the Digital Flowmeter - Hall type 1.5 - 25 L/Minute to the LCD unit, you will need to join the following wires:
ZD1200 Flow Sensor Terminal 1 Red Vdd to Vcc ZD1204 Flow Rate Meter
ZD1200 Flow Sensor Terminal 2 Brown Vout to CN1 ZD1204 Flow Rate Meter
ZD1200 Flow Sensor Terminal 3 black Gnd to Gnd ZD1204 Flow Rate Meter

I added a DPDT switch for the power to the thermometers and flowmeters for two reasons.
1) To make it easier to change batteries, and
2) for them to last longer :handgestures-thumbupleft:

The next addition is for the Dephlegm.
