Still design- avoiding dead spot in vapour path

Postby ilanrl » Tue Dec 11, 2012 9:39 am

Ok so I'm about to put together my vm product condenser and not sure the best way. One problem ive identified is that I should avoid places where condensate should pool.

Some vertical shotgun product condensors present the downward vapor path with a flat horizontal plate (see pic)

Is this a problem. I would have thought that heads would pool here and contaminate the rest of the run.

The colored in section is the horizontal plate into which the vertical tubes are soldered.
