What to do with a meter of 3" copper pipe ?

Postby Beerswimmer » Sun Jan 13, 2013 7:26 am

I have a meter of 3" pipe collecting dust in my basement and have no idea what to do with it. My boiler is a keg with a standard opening and I want to keep it that way. What to do, what to do????

I use a 16 gallon keg for my boiler. Not sure I want to get into a project that big right now!!! Maybe an inline thumper.

That's what I said to myself before I
started by perf plate build but I am so happy I went through with it now. Just have a crack at it and be patient and you will get it made.

The local copper place by my house has 3" coonectors with rolled stop for a decent price. I'm thinking about using those. I can place my plate on the stop, and put the pipe in tight. One solder job. It'll be a solid piece with no fancy windows, just thumpers. Probably 4-5 levels. I could even put it on my thumper and it would be a really easy/poor man's humper thumper. Any thoughts??
