Posted: Fri Jun 12, 2020 8:40 pmLike a spring but not a spring, a multi segment tri clamp with play in joins to allow it to roll up smaller then it actually is. Each segment solid not flixable so when screw is tightened it applies pressure same as a 2 section one..

If you had a milk can or existing 6" opening fine, a ss 4" bsp nut starts at around $50, I dare say you wouldnt get much change out of $150-200 for the whole thing, makes welding look pretty attractive
With respect, i beg to differ, i have seen a very clever weld less bulk head that allows a two inch bulkhead to be fitted in a two inch hole with only access from one side, i can't see why it couldn't be scaled up to 4,6,8in etc. the one caveat is that this one was made for a flat surface. but with the right set of press plates anything is possible.
