G'day from 'the beach'

Postby kimbodious » Sat Apr 18, 2015 6:54 pm

G'day,
Kimbo here from FNQ, People call me kimbo but kimbodious is usually my forum name anywhere I go.

My work background is in the technician/ research support area part of that time managing a couple of laboratories making the step into becoming a home distilker fairly logical actually.

I am just starting out as a home distiller. My current set up - Keg Boiler with the Keg King 2200w element and a Keggomac CM reflux still. I have routed separate hoses for the cooling to the condensors with an inline needle valve to give fine control for the reflux side. I have done a couple of water test runs to get the plumbing sorted and now have just pitched the yeast (Essencia Super 6) for my first wash. I am playing it safe for the time being until I am happy with management of the still after which I start branching out with TPWs etc.

cheers ... Kimbo
