I am a Gin fan but since starting reading the Forums a few weeks ago I am becoming more interested in the actual Art of Distilling.
Lots of helpful advice . Cant wait to get into it.

Thanks for the replies. I have read a lot more and understand a little bit more. My first wash is coming to its end after being really vigourous. I am now hooked on Buying a FSD bubbler 4 inch and a 50 litre milkcan boiler. I want to experiment with Neutrals and Gins mainly. I think I'll decant the wash into airtight container to stop feeling pressured to get any still to use the wash.

I liked coming home and going to see the gurgling baby fermenting.

Anyway. I am hooked and have to stop myself and research more and more.Found a great distilling manual on my Kindle and its echoing a lot of your guys suggestions.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Cheers

FSD bubbler on a 50 litre milk can is a great combo Yurugaboy. You'll be able to make all manner of top notch spirits with it.

Can you switch between Neutral and other Spirits by using the rig differentley or do you have to deconstruct the unit to make say a Rum run .Also in a stndard house how can you run 2 x 2400w elemetns when both are 10 amps each. Do people use 2 seperate circuits for each element. I need advice on the Bubbler type to buy.

They're a modular design so you can assemble them for what you want to make; 5 plates and a packed section configuration for neutrals, 4 plates for flavoured spirits like rum and whisky, and just a straight pot still for stripping or heavily flavoured spirits

Some people do run two elements off different house circuits. I have two separate circuits wired into my shed.

One thing to consider will be the height of the rig. A Neutraliser (5 plates + packed section) on top of a 50 litre milk can will be close to, if not more than, 2.4 metres tall. I have the 100l milk can and can only run 4 plates and the packed section due to height restrictions in my shed.

Your best bet is to give 5 Star a call and have a chat with them about what you want to achieve. They'll sort you out. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
