Yes, 3 Vessel system. Hot Liquor Tank, Mash Tun and Boiler Kettle.
You could do it all in one vessel, like brew in a bag (BIAB). Less equipment, quicker process, less to clean.
But for me, that would take the fun out of it all.

Well, I couldn't be happier. I assembled my brand spanking new FDS 4" Modular Pot Still and it is a thing of beauty.

What's the general consensus regarding preparing for my first run?
Do i give all that shiny stainless a soak in Tricleanium?
I've read of people doing a vinegar run?

Ahh, thanks PeterC.

Whats the go with the roll of copper mesh supplied with the FDS 4" Modular Pot Still?
Does it go up in swan neck, the 90° section before the condenser?
Or above the boiler, in the bottom of the hat section?

Above the boiler, it is thick enough so that it won't fall through.

You will need to clean the copper mesh before using it. Good thread on this here... http://aussiedistiller.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7237

Thanks for all the help, I'm now ready for my vinigar run.... Except for one small problem.
What am I missing between the Keg and the bottom of the hat section?
Is there a connection I havent ordered or will one of those 2" Custom EPDM Seals do the trick?

I wonder if you'd be better off with only one ridge removed

Currently having a makeover: 2" x 4 plate solid state bubbler (1" bubble caps, no sight glasses...maybe not for much longer!) on a bain-marie boiler.
