Hello,

Say Hi and introduce yourself

Hello,

Postby ciderman » Mon Aug 21, 2017 7:23 pm

My name is Duane and I have an Air still. A little still i know but I am thinking about upgrading and currently in the process of researching stainless steel fermenters in stead of plastic. Been winemaking for a while and went to university for a few subjects for winemaking. Won third place in the local Caboolture show and first place and grand champion at the pine rivers show 2017 for cider.

Sounds like your off to a great start and you have half the process down pat the fermenting. If i were you I would stick with pladtic fermenters and put the cssh into the stil. A bubbler. Sounds like brandy may be your thing :handgestures-thumbupleft:

And welcome :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:text-imwithstupid: There's nothing wrong with plastic fermenters when it comes to spirits but avoid plastic in stills and storage of alc as it’s a solvent :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome mate, good to have you here.
