Been lurking here for a while

I'm in Europe, but maybe not much longer  . Been brewing beer for 30 years or more, had a Braumeister 20lt for nearly 3 years, just done my 49th brew. Looking at trying distilling. A homemade reflux is looking most likely, probably 2" copper. Will be asking a few questions later.

G'day mate, welcome aboard.

With your beer experience you'll have a good base and be well on your way to making good spirit.

Give the newbies corner a good read then hit the build threads for some inspiration. What sort of still you require will depend on what you want to drink :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Enjoy

Welcome BM... as above... but from what i know now, if u r doing a build... GO 3''... 2'' will be dissapointing in terms of run time. It takes ages. There is heaps of info to guide you.
The overall spend vs the benefits are quite insignificant, given the big picture. A nice tall column will give you some nice pure spirit, the extra width gives you speed of production.

Hey BM. Enjoy your time here. Where are you planning to move to? This is the best site I could find and I got all the info I needed right here. What is your preferred spirit? :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome to AD mate.

Best advice I can give is; take your time! Don't rush in, make the right choices up front and you'll save yourself a lot of time, money and disappointment.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

I'm in no rush. Spent 20 years updating the brewery, would have saved a fortune if I got it right first time, but enjoyed the journey . Need to get this right first time if I can, getting to old to make to many mistakes. Will be back with some question soon.

It's not me that is moving out of Europe but my country, enough said, sooner the better :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Thanks guys
