Hi everyone
I am enjoying brewing in the wide bay ever since I found out about all grain mashing things are looking up and thanks to your post now even better big shout out to Brendan for the all grain bourbon post (wow that reverse step mash in works grate getting 50 ltr of wort with sg of 1075 potentially 7.5 abv) good work and big shout out to davis88 for sharing heating mash(esp corn) managed to make that corn my b#tch 3 kg of malted Weat converted 10 kg of corn grits without alpa amylase the corn to water ratio was helpful 4 parts water to one part corn was the missing link for me wort ph of 5.5 mix up the yeast starter and bam done in 3 days flat. Grate work mate.I will run it thru my 50 mm cooper reflux which I have done for years now take out all the packing run it slow collecting below 70 percent do a head Hart,s n tails collection in 1/2 ltr gars air em out over night and nose & blend the next day looking forward to tasting that white dog I will post the final ltrs bottled.grate to be here with like minded people improving the craft love your work.

equipment: 50mm copper reflux double skin550h collum packed or un packed on 50 ltr ss keg all on gas cooker
Condenser hase 1/2 inch ball valve with hose fittings .
