G'day mate and welcome :greetings-waveyellow:

The wife can be very forgiving if there's a nice bottle or two for her. Try the G dropper or Lemonchello recipe, they're a hit with the ladies :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Thanks for the welcome!
I am keen to go pot, for whisky. Lots of reading to do prior. I am looking at biab all grain. I will probably go for some kind of cm unit. I’ve been wanting to get into this for years... ever since M.A.S.H was on the telly and bj and Hawkeye had their glassware still in their tent. Long time ago now.
Keen to run some mash and put a bottle or two to bed for a bit.
Will definitely be doing a run or two for the Mrs,including wine which we do also. In fact the lucky girl got a wine kit for her birthday last year. Nothing like a bubbling fermenter farting away giving of equal amounts of c02 and ethanol. Beautiful!

G-day mate ,the still in MASH and granny's still in Beverley hillbillies, did also spark my interest, there certainly is some inaccurate perseptions about stillin that come from shows like that, after getting some pics I very quickly realized that there is no way it could work, read on and we will help ya on the right road.cheers hillzabilly ;-)

Gday mate.
Apparently they made a still for MASH that actually worked at first but got in trouble and had to build a second one that couldn’t possibly work, ie the one we see in the photos and on tv.

Yeah they didn't want the American public to see how straight forward it can be.

You can see the old copper pot still they used in some of the earlier episodes of M*A*S*H. I'm not sure it would have been that functional to be honest.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.
