Hi all, rayray 59 here, will be looking to gain some of your wealth of knowledge here as this is all new to me. I'll be asking a fair few questions to start with, please bear with me till i get a grasp of things, Cheers. :obscene-drinkingchug:

2 X 1000L IBC - Recirculating water

Hi ray,I see you have a turbo 500 the tpw recipe works great in them. I ran it for years b4 I built my pot still.
Anyway welcome aboard man, enjoy the journey down the rabbit hole.

Thanks, I think once I've done a few runs things will be OK, Still looking to learn.

Hi, Personally love a Decent Gin, Ouzo, Vodka also a few Dark ones like Jacks & Chivas. I don't want to rush the process so the more info the better. Cheers.

Hi Plumby, look forward to getting great advice from you. Just googled TPW recipe & am gonna try it, is it for just darker spirits? if so have you got a wash recipe for white spirits please, gonna try & get away from turbo yeasts. Cheers. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

TPW is more for neutral.
Try the NGW or CFW for brown spirits.

Look in the recipe section of this site (no need for google).

The t500 is a reflux still and they make neutral alcohol like vodka. Have a look at this link its the best way to run a t500, http://aussiedistiller.com.au/viewtopic ... 57&t=10483. Recipes like the tpw, http://aussiedistiller.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=6167 and the wbab, http://aussiedistiller.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=170 both make excellent neutral alcohol.
