G'day Aussie Distillers forum! I was told by Allan and Sue to make myself known to the forum as I have just received a purchase from them that is a big key in the puzzle to my wife and I becoming commercial distillers.

We are still under construction but will hopefully be operational within the next 2 months to a point where we can have product in bottles for sale.

Very exciting times for us, if you would like to follow our progress we have a facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Sunny-Hill-Dis ... 698991262/

Look forward to chatting with you,

Cheers,

Colly

Gday Colly, welcome to the forum :handgestures-thumbupleft:
Great to see commercial distillers here :handgestures-thumbupleft: I guess that you’ve got some FSD gear to know Alan and Sue?
Got pics of your rig?

G'day bluc, whisky and rum are to be our main products (after aging) but in the interim vodka and gin etc are needed for cash flow.

Doubleuj I think I have made the pics small enough, all the gear is still wrapped but you get the idea

Now that’s just a tease :teasing-neener: :laughing-rolling:

I’m planning a trip to SA in the near future to meet up with mates, namely Sam, woodduck and Zac
Thinking we’ll all rock up for a tasting :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Doubleuj that would be great, except we won't have much to taste for a while as our facility is still under construction and the ATO is quite clear about being established before producing.

Although in the the next month or so we will have something half worthy of a tour that could suffice?

G'day Nino, I see you are located in Adelaide. We are less than 2 hours from the centre of Adelaide so very achievable for a day trip. Once we are going we would love to give you a tour :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome Sunny Hill :greetings-waveyellow:

I'd definitely be up for a tour and tasting :handgestures-thumbupleft:

That's some nice looking gear. It looks huge too, what size, number of plates etc...? Can't wait to see the shinny FSD gear together.

Good luck with your venture mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

G'day Woodduck,

The stills are 1000L working capacity and we have a 4 plate 8" plated column for whisky/rum and a 12 plate 8" for our vodka production which will then be run through a smaller carter head for our gin.

Hopefully we will have everything together soon and I can share some more pics :handgestures-thumbupleft:

We have started loading the gear onto the production floor and have unwrapped the shiny beast from 5 Star. It is seriously amazing how shiny these things are and how well they are constructed with some super impressive welds!

Hope you like the pics.
