Hi From the Hunter Valley

Hi,

Just starting out using a Pure still with 25l Boiler.

Done about 6 batches so far with no real issues. Using TPW, with last wash being 180-200L....slowly working through this...well I've put down 6 cooks this week...

Have used the site in the past for info and very appreciative.

Will be looking at building/buying/acquiring a larger boiler, so will hopefully find the answers to my Q's here.

Cheers
Gundy

Update. have 2 pure stills and a newer turbo still. doing 200l washes. doing decent cuts and slowly getting the knack.

Welcome mate!
I started with the same setup, looking back it has been a good stepping stone to running a pot and now a bubbler (hopefully very soon).
Good luck! :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Geez, that’s a bit rough, what did they do? Burn the toast? :laughing-rolling:
But seriously, we don’t use the term “cook” for distilling, cooking is something you do in the kitchen or meth lab :handgestures-thumbdown:

Great to see your all over the tpw, are you doing cuts?
Welcome to the forum btw :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome to the show, man!

I sank a shitload of schooners at the Gundy pub a hundred years ago :)) I reckon A Singo owned it then..great times!!

Kickback, soak up the knowledge here, and above all, enjoy the ride, brother :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome Gundy.

There's heaps of info on boiler builds all over the site to give some ideas.

Thanks for the welcomes, Sorry haven't logged in for a while.

Won't call it "cooking" anymore, although Ive been waiting for the cops to turn up...it looks a bit suspicious when i have 3 stills water pump and bottles at the front of the shed for everyone to see when they drive past.

Singo's still live in Gundy. I had hair when they had the Pub. Its changed a fair bit now.

Cheers
