Hi guys from the Central Coast NSW.
Been playing around with the Turbo 500 for a few batches, taking advice from some friends around the place. I thought I was doing ok.
I got onto this site and started reading some stuff, started trying some stuff, and realised that I could get much better results with some fairly simple advice from here.
I’ve been given the courage to try things outside the SS instructions with great success (in my opinion). Just laid down my first TPW. Nothing to lose.

Having found such good advice here I thought I should sign up, not because I expect to be able to contribute much just yet, not because I need to ask any questions (when you search you find that someone has already asked all the questions, and all the answers seem to be here already), but mainly because I wanted to see the more detailed contributions of previous respondents.

I’m just going to keep reading and keep refining my processes to get results that satisfy me.

Cheers.

Gday mate, the t500 is a great little starter still and with the right modifications and running her the right way them you’ll get some nice clean spirit. Have fun and enjoy the fruits of your labour. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
Have you read through the newbies corner?

I have read a LOT.
There are SO many ideas, opinions, versions. It seems the best bet it to just take all this on board and try it myself.

I think I could summarise all this into three simple rules that cover everything I have learnt from reading so far:

1/ Take your time.
2/ Don’t try to rush things.
3/ Have patience.

When I started out I wanted MORE, MORE, MORE.
I now have a little stockpile of “neutral” spirit, so I can take my time.
Unfortunately I have come to realise that my “neutral” is a little too much “heads”, so I might end up “recycling” much of it.

As long as I have something to sip as I read, learn and experiment I will be happy (even if it is a bit “heady” for now).
