Afternoon Fellas

Postby ConcealedReality » Mon May 28, 2018 2:48 pm

Many years back the ex-wife and I purchased an Essencia express still, we used it happily, and after a split, it went to storage. I've dusted it off and given her a look over (the still, not the ex-wife) and to a degree, it has me interested all over again. One thing that always bothered me was the 'odd' notes in the drink we never managed to shift. I thought ah ha - with no one to say they want it now now now! I can try diluting the distillate and running again to see if it helps. That said the need for 'essences' with it has always bothered me, so I went looking for 'real recipes' some searching found me a few 'traditional style' recipes and eventually lead me here. Now other than the crazy wealth of knowledge I seem to have stumbled into, you all seem to have a tremendous sense of humour. I'm both awestruck, and entertained. I'm very happy to be here!

Welcome bro. A tip I got from these guys is decide what you like to drink and go from there. Sounds like you are on the right track ditching the essences. Check out all the whiskey’s made from brekky cereal in the tried and tested section, I’ve made most of them with a cheapo still and they are effing excellent and easy.
Ask heaps of questions, these blokes know the answers and are very helpful.
It’s a fucking mad forum. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
