Hi All from Sydney :)

Say Hi and introduce yourself

Hi All from Sydney :)

Postby Chris7231 » Tue Jun 05, 2018 1:44 pm

Hey guys (& gals?)
Just thought I'd say a quick g'day as a newby.
Hope I can add some useful input where I can.
I'm studying medical science & love to distil drinks & 'essential oils'.
Have been running the Still Spirits T500 reflux & alembic heads, but have modded it with voltage control.
Usually fermenting in 2x 200L barrels (Vodka & Sour Mash), and also always have random rum & wines going elsewhere around the house.

Anyhoo, that's all from me for now :)

Cheers,
Chris.

Haha, yeah mate.

Bought the one off Matt from Darwin, so I have a couple of weeks to knock-up the column & condenser. ;)

Welcome Chris.

Sounds like you're off to a good start. Must take ages to work your way through a full 200 litre ferment with a T500!

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

Yeah it can, I do stripping runs that take a couple of hours each, then painfully slow spirit runs that can take anywhere up to 12 hours!
