Hey everyone..
long time lurker here, just never got around to posting.

I am from the central coast, NSW.. been distilling for 3 or 4 years now.
started out on turbos, and an air still.
quickly upgraded to a pure distilling reflux still, and been using TPW since.

looking now at upgrading to a bigger boiler (the milk can ones look amazing) and a bubble plate still, and then start making some rum - will be nice to not have to use essences anymore!

Welcome!
Once you make some rum from molasses you wont look back. Essences just dont cut it once you've made the real deal imho. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Gday mate and welcome aboard :greetings-waveyellow:

Looks like you've had a few upgrades over time, the bubbler will be the last one I recon, not much you can't do with a bubbler. Good luck mate, hope you find the one your looking for :handgestures-thumbupleft:

yeah, that is what I am looking forward to the most.. while I dont mind the essences, I can notice a huge difference when I go to a store bought rum.

I have heard that they look amazing in real life... now its just a matter of trying to get one.. now that 5star has closed/closing up, I need to look elsewhere.

the bubbler is going to be exactly what I am looking for.
everything has just been stepping stones so far... the air still was really just an experiment to see if I would enjoy distilling and get a drinkable product, but it was very short lived.. and the pure distilling reflux has been great, but it takes ages to run, and only having neutrals is starting to suck.
