Hey

Postby Yonder » Sat Jun 23, 2018 3:16 pm

Been hanging around, watchin' and studyin' a while. Forgot to make my manners here first but I got here finally. Been learnin' the art for six months or so . Brewed some beer and made some wine over the years. Did some all grain and have some UJ's boiling away in the kichen now. Here to learn to do it better and get some new ideas.

Nice little rig mate.

Just one question though, are you using flour paste to seal the still and connect the thumper?

If you are, you should think about getting some ferrules attached, they'll be much safer. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Prof. Green.

Compression fittings. One side is permanently fixed, the other is just a compression fitting so the whole rig can be broken down in minutes. Set up this way I can leave out the little thumper if I want. I then cover the fittings with rye biscuit to make sure there's no vapor leaks. One day I'll get around to proper ferrules or just build fresh.
