Hello from Geelong

Postby Chambo » Tue Jun 26, 2018 9:41 am

Hey All,

Just bought myself a Pure Distilling Reflux Copper Condensor and a 30L boiler. Have been brewing beer for a few years mainly from kits but with good results.

As a start I bought a couple of Turbo Yeasts and have made 2 runs, the results are average but I did notice if I let the neutral spirit air for a couple of days a majority of the smells disappeared and the taste cleaned up a lot.

I am preparing my first TPW in a 60L fermenter this weekend and have the ingredients for FFV which I will try after the TPW run.

I enjoy reading all the trials of the memebers and the great insights and hopefully can contribute once I make some progress and learn from my mistakes.

Cheers

Giday Chambo, so what's the spirit that you most want to make/ drink? I'm also not that far from your zone. Keep reading what others do and how they did it and you'll progress quickly. Cheers
