Happy Friday brains trust,

Just a question that I couldn't find a search result for...

I want to do the Bourbon knockoff grain recipe in my keg boiler when it's up and running. If I get a 50L fermenter, what's the fill limit on a 50L keg? I currently have the still spirits boiler and it had a Max fill line well from the top.

Also, another quick one. Stripping in a pot. 2x2200w elements. Turn one off and run one full? I'm guessing I only need to regulate the voltage for the spirit run.

50 L fermenter you'd want to fill no more than 45 L on a stripping run for bourbon, a lot less than that for rum. If it isn't fully finished fermenting then it could puke and you'll want even less. 40 L is a safe option.

Yeah strip as fast as as you can, so long as your cooling system can handle it. In summer my radiator setup gets progressively warmer if I strip on my full 4000 W (2 x 2000 W), so I dial it down to about 3500 W. Winter isn't a problem. You don't want hot product coming out. :angry-extinguishflame: [-x just make sure your elements are always covered.

Voltage control your spirit run :handgestures-thumbupleft:
