Hi absolute green newb here.

A older member of this forum Muppet told me to join and that I would learn heaps here.

I am on a BBQ forum with him.

Just wanting to learn as much as I can before I invest.

I apologise in advance for any stupid questions

Welcome JimmyBoy, you've come to the right place.

Taking your time and doing as much research as you can will ensure you start off with the right gear. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Things to think about are:
- What sort of spirits you want to make?
- What is your budget?
- Off the shelf or DIY (are you handy with tools)?
- How much room do you have in which to run your still?

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

Thanks professor

I am not handy at all so it will be an off the shelf.

Rum is my usual tipple however happy to get into liqueurs as well. Generally all spirits are good.

Budget well working on it with domestic manager.

With 3 BBQ's already I guess I will need to make some more room.

G'day mate and welcome aboard.

Take a look around the place and try soak in as much as you can before deciding on what still to get. Don't rush in, take your time and you will be able to make an informed decision that you are less likely to regret.

Good luck mate and enjoy the ride :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Oh and say hi to muppet for me, haven't seen him around for a while.

Gday Jimmyboy! :greetings-waveyellow:
Room for all your gear gets scarce real quick if you get right into this hobby.. especially if you branch out into different avenues of distilling.

In a weird way my interest in this hobby must be fate.

Five Star have moved to a suburb just around the corner from me and are going through some changes so by the time I am ready to invest you know where I will be going. ^:)^
