G'Day from Down South

Say Hi and introduce yourself

G'Day from Down South

Postby The Dark Alchemist » Tue Aug 14, 2018 1:29 pm

Hi All,
Been reading for a while, motivated by a visit to a gin distillery last year and my Chemical Engineering background (may as well put the degree to some use).

Recently got into gins, always liked rums so here's to a whole new world of adventure.

Kudos to everyone who has given up info to us newbies; in time, I hope to be offering, instead of sucking up advice :handgestures-thumbupleft: :text-thankyoublue:

It's not too shabby!!! Down South, Mainland for me..... Done a few sugar washes, and gleaned a few recipes from here and HD Forums... My macrum is currently fizzing away too - having just read the T-500 thread and rum thread, I'm interested to see how it turns out - I'll need to hide it though :obscene-drinkingdrunk:

Welcome to the funhouse Dark Alchemist.

Are you going to run your rum through the T500?

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

G'day mate, welcome :greetings-waveyellow:

If any wash was gonna keep flavor through a T500, rum would be it. It may be fairly light, more like a white rum but might come out ok?

You need to look into a pot for your flavoured washes :handgestures-thumbupleft:
