Hi all. Just starting out and been doing a ton of reading. Only thing i cant really tell now if with the Pure Distiller im about to buy is whether or not you should make cuts? The video i watched shows the bloke collection all but the foreshot and i just wanted to know if anyone has any knowledge or experience with this.

Yes always, always do cuts no matter the still type or brand.

Hi mate welcome :greetings-waveyellow:

I moved your post to the welcome centre because it's your first one.

Tell us a bit about yourself, what do you want to make, what do you like to drink?

And yes do cuts on all alcohol you want to drink. Don't believe everything you see on YouTube. Believe the knowledge that has been put to together here from many experienced stillers.

Enjoy the hobby :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:greetings-waveyellow: welcome mate

Doing cuts is the way to go. Give your heads a smell compared to your hearts and see which smells better.

There is so much good advice on the forum. Just takes some time reading it all :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome MiniMal.

:text-+1: on what everyone else has said. With good cuts (and the right wash), you shouldn't even need to run it through a filter. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Kiwistiller's Novice Guide to Cuts and Fractions is great place to start if you've read it already.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.
