6 months in....

Say Hi and introduce yourself

6 months in....

Hey guys,

So 6 months or so ago. Doubleuj helped me get set up at home with all the equipment I need. The first 4 months everything just sat in the shed because I was busy and slightly overwhelmed ha ha

The last month I have devoted a lot of my time to the shed creating a safe work environment and learning how to run my rig. I replaced the gate valve on the reflux with a needle valve and all I can say is wow what a difference!

I am loving this hobby and just want to run it at every opportunity I get.

Made a cfw and a lemon vodka last week. Cfw is still ageing but the vodka was a total success! Everyone has been raving about it.

A massive shout out to Doubleuj for the 6000 phone calls. Couldn’t have done it without you mate.

Stoked!

Awesome news, I'm glad its all going well.

I just purchased a needle valve as well today, I'm remaining hopeful...

Your workstation looks very well rounded : )

Cheers!
With the needle valve installed I collected 9, 400 mill jars without the apv moving off 94%. Once it dipped and I knew I was in tails I shut off the reflux. Massive improvement mate so I hope your helps.
Still so much to do :-D

That Doubleuj is top notch bloke, despite what people say about him!

Great to hear your distilling journey is going well Sampson. Hopefully you'll never have to drink a commercially distilled product again. :puke-huge:
