Hi to all

I started about 12 months ago making my own after my previous neighbour supplied me with a few bourbons, and I never looked back.
I didn’t need the big system that he had, just for myself, so I purchased an Air Still and Companion pack and after a few little mistakes it just got better and better. As I mentioned earlier I like bourbon, but like an occasional liquor too, I find having an drink at a pub is a waste of money and I love mine much more, so smooth.
All the best to all for 2019

Welcome mate

Nice place to live (if ya dont have a regular job - a commute would suck otherwise), did a week in a holiday house there, very peaceful :)

my still is only just a step up from yours, but it keeps me amused for the moment, every run gives you that bit more confidence and experience, have fun with all the recipes on here and strongly consider a 2" pot! :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome NotSo. You will find this mob an agreeable lot. More experience than you will know what to do with. Luckily it rarely contradicts lol

Have you tried any of the tried and proven recipes yet? It is amazing what can come from something like cornflakes and sugar!

Anyway, keep us posted with what you are up to, it’s a great hobby and I’m told if you can leave some product to mature it gets even better. Not something I can speak of from experience yet :laughing-rolling:

So far I have found an essence that I really like, with a little additive, and I haven’t experimented much. I will have a look at the other recipes too.
I have thought that when I do a big batch, 30 lt + 10 lt, by the time I get down to the last couple of bottles they are sssooo smooth. :obscene-drinkingdrunk:

We have not long moved here so money is a bit tight at the moment but I am getting back to a full batch going now. Bottoms up :laughing-rolling:
