Say Hi and introduce yourself

Hi everyone,
Been browsing for a bit and had completely forgotten to introduce myself. Have had an interest in distilling for quite some time, finally have permission from SWMBO to get involved (only after I finish off a couple of home projects first). Here to gain sound advice.
Cheers,

Welcome mate

I feel your pain on the swmbo front, dragging my ass on a couple of things...

Sometimes forgiveness is easier to get than permission... choose carefully :D

I have a variety of taste, looking at whiskey and neutrals to start. Then move to rums and other drops as I progress. I was originally considering building a basic 2" reflux... until I found this site, now plans have changed... I have images of a 4" bubbler in mind. I'll start collecting what I require now, so once I've finished my other projects I can jump straight into it.
Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome mate,
I think you’re on the money jumping straight in with the 4” bubbler. We have built a 2” pot, mainly due to financial constraints, but in all honesty, I think cost probably would have worked out much closer than I thought.

Happy stillin’
