Hello to all !!

Say Hi and introduce yourself

Hello to all !!

Postby easysipper » Tue Feb 19, 2019 8:22 pm

Hey everybody! Great day to everyone! Well the minus 20* C nights are upon us and the means to remain sane during our 6 months of winter are almost over.
I have been deciding to purchase a still for "water purification" for some time and well enjoy a sailboat channel on youtube and was kinda taken by the t500 that they use!
Christmas came and went and i asked Santa for a gift for myself, so finally i dove in head first and have one 25 liter wash under my belt. turned out alright i guess, tones of over roasted marshmellows, but for irish cream liquor (for morning coffees), it will suffice.
I see that I am not alone with frustrations in Still Spirits instruction Manual i only thumbed thru the guide, and still managed to reap a little over 3.6liters of 91% with cuts so that made me happy!!

But that is all from me for the day,

Worker Life calls...

Welcome easysipper.

-20 degrees :scared-eek:

Chuck out the T500 manual and have a read of this and the threads mentioned therein, they'll help you get the best out of your still. It's worth reading the discussion thread that is linked at the bottom of the "Running a T500, the Proper Way" thread too.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

Thanks for the links and advice. I had one wash stall on me and couldn't get it restarted, so looks like I will need to take a sick day from work to science up my other washes!!
Again thanks to everyone for producing a good website!!

That is cold. How do you keep your ferments warm? It's -6 here and I don't want to leave the house!
