Hello from Gold Coast

G'day all!

I've been looking at getting in home brewing and thought I would start with beer, however a turn for the better, the missus needs high proof alcohol and distilled water for some of her products she's making.

So while I can use my new still boiler for beer brewing, I am looking forward to the opportunities that this still will bring :D

I've gone out and purchased a T500 Stainless Steel as a starter kit but in the future I will be looking at creating my own 50L.

Read countless threads and watched just as many videos and I am excited to get started.
At present, I am just about to start running the T500 through its initial cleaning and then from that I will be probably running TPW through about 3 times before taking what I produce!
All alcohol taken from the TPW runs, will be stored at maximum proof for the missus requirements, then the real fun starts :D

P.S: I should also note until this point, I had been doing cider brewing which has been going well.

G-day and welcome mate,I think one alcohol sacrificial run to clean the still will be fine, after a vinager of citric acid run ,three would just be a waste.Check out the newbies section ta help get going.cheers hillzabilly ;-)

Perfumes and herbal remedies tinctures and all that stuff,I would be guessing D.Or hopeing may be a better word.Safety with secure storage and labeling at 95-96% should be a priority.cheers hillzabilly

Hillzabilly was correct in his assumption.
It will be used for soap making and oil distillation quite likely.

We've already got specific storage area set aside... Obviously it will be labeled correctly :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
