Always focused on more laboratory style of distilling with packed columns. Naturally progressed to bigger columns with better packing(spp), scrubbies was like 20 years ago. And to vapor managment. Focus on speed because I have no time, still a keg boiler though.

I want to do some more artistic distilling so I am building plated column. That is why I'm here. I have a few questions.

Time is the one thing that’s needed in this hobby.
You just can’t rush things.
A 6” won’t be any good on a 50L boiler, you will need a 100 at least.
Good luck

I will put in the time needed. Won't do anything stupid or dangerous.

so 50l is no good because of the amount needed to load and heat column? or other reasons as well? I figured it may not be ideal.
