Welcome here mat, plenty of inspiration to be found in the reflux still section for your build :handgestures-thumbupleft:

What type of spirits are you planning on making?

hi
sam, i'm thinking of Whisky eventually. But must learn to walk before i can run. I want to just try sugar water and yeast for my first few runs.

Welcome Dave.

If you're wanting to ultimately make whisky, I would recommend starting of with one of the cereal based washes from the tried and proven section rather than a basic sugar wash. They make great bases for whisky and neutral and are dead simple to prepare. WBAB with some time on oak makes a very good whisky.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

Welcome Dave! :greetings-waveyellow:
Good luck with your build... feel free to pop up a photo or 2, we love them on here.
Whiskey is a good place to start... the bwko in the tried and proven is a great recipe.

Hi there :greetings-waveyellow:

If you want whiskey mate I'd be going for a pot still straight up. The cereal washes are no harder to do.

Thanks for the welcome everybody. My reflux still is not finished as yet. When it is and i have some experience under my belt i may branch out and try to make a pot still also. Allways on the lookout for bits and pieces that can ''come in handy one day'''.
