Hi from the Gold Coast

Thanks for accepting me I am a 60's ex sailor living on a boat on the gold coast for the past 20 years and have been distilling the whole time... Never had a problem until today when right at the end of my distil i got distracted and the temp shot up to around 88c for a few minutes now I am not sure if I can still use it or need to toss it out and pay more attention next time. It was cloudy for a little while and then the white settled to the bottom of the bottle, I don't want to poison myself and would appreciate advice

I would just run it again after diluting back to under 40 %abv or tip it in with your next boiler run with the next wash.

G'day mate. Boat life sounds pretty good to me :handgestures-thumbupleft:
The cloudy stuff is tails.
Have you been collecting in the one container or collecting in separate cuts jars? If you've been collecting in the one container then put it back into your boiler, dilute with water back below 40 % (I don't know what the highest abv a t500 can run well on, but below 40 at least for safety) and run it again but using cuts. If you've been doing cuts, just throw out the jar with the cloudy stuff.

If you need to know more about cuts look here http://www.aussiedistiller.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=11918

Welcome.
At that temp I would be checking your T500 for leaks especially around the very top.
If she’s leaking she’s done, sorry.
Good luck

The T500 is almost brand new thus the initial problem, I used the old still until it fell apart still getting used to the new fangled digital type.. Great advice from all I will dilute the mix and run it through the still again, it says to keep it between 55 and 65 and that is what will happen this time I am glad I didn't throw it out as that was my first thought.. I have never done cuts but sounds good might give it a try, I intend to read lots of posts on here to get better have always just followed the instructions from the still maker its a whole different world among the like minded again thanks heaps
