Hi.
I've ventured into the world of spirit making and purchased a T500 to get things started.
Really interesting reading through the site.
Great site this too.

Thanks guys.
Yeah I've ditched the turbo stuff and the plastic tube on the t500. Bunnings has half inch copper tubing for $20 for a couple of metres.
I've made vodka (with pineapple juice tastes OK) but not really a vodka drinker.
I quite like the prestige ouzo essence.
Looking at making rum, bourbon and scotch.
Is the leftover turbo stuff good for anything eg the dextrose with the carbon in it?...
BTW what do you guys do with the dunder (used wash)?

Hi Sam..
Mainly scotch, rum, bourbon.
Next year I'll look at getting the pot head for the t500.

Welcome to the forum
The dunder is usually pretty acidic, so unless your a gun horticulturalist and know which plants are ok with a low ph water, use it on weeds or just tip it down the sink

I've got a high temperature pump attached to my boiler, I use it to pump out boiler contents straight into my house sewage pipe (I open up the drain waste vent access cap) and run it through a dedicated cheap garden hose.
Fermenter contents, I tip down the toilet, rinse fermenter in the shower (the jet option on our shower head helps remove dried bits of weetbix etc) and then wash with dishwashing liquid and it's ready to go again.
