Airstill newbie still finding my feet!

Heyo!
Love the forum. I bought an air still recently and put down the batch that came in the box, in my eagerness decided to look up some guides on what i was doing while i waited for it to brew!
I'm blown away by the info here, and look forward to getting into some TPW and if the interest holds, maybe getting something a bit more significant going!
Any and all advice welcomed! Keep up the good work! Rest assured that when i hit an issue, this will probably be the place where i'll ask the stupid questions! :D

You'll probably have better results running teddy's fast fermenting vodka or weetbix allbran washes through an airstill as tpw tends to leave behind too many flavours in pot stills. I'm no expert though as I've never owned an airstill.

We will see how i go ^_^ I want something simple to start with, and if i don't like it I'll try something else!
If nothing tried nothing is gained, but I'll keep that in mind! :D

@Doubleuj Will it make that much difference if i plan to mix it with an essence, rather than drinking it as a clear neutral?

Welcome mate.
+1 on running WBAB. If you're going to produce spirits with residual flavours (as will be the case with the air still) then it might as well be a nice wheat flavour.

The wbab is just as easy and forgiving as the tpw is and like the prof said, it is better to have a wheaty flavour than a tomato flavour, no matter how subtle it may be. Plus the wbab has a nicer mouth feel in my opinion :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I've run both TPW and WBAB washes through an AirStill. Go with the WBAB or another cereal based wash. :D

Soak em in 80 % neutral until they lose their colour and they make a nice drink with soda water. Dilute to 40 % first though. You won't get neutral with an airstill though.
