Hello everyone, :greetings-waveyellow:

Im joining to get the right advice & guidance in home distilling. I intended on getting a T500 for simplicity sake but after reading a few posts on here im all at sea again ! I just dont know what to buy ?
My background is that ive been into home brewing beer for about 20 years & did try my hand at spirits many years ago with a primitive reflux still only to get mixed results , some fantastic but not more than 30% of the time .
Well ive got the bug again so im here looking for anything helpful.

Cheers Dino

Welcome Dino, there's definitely plenty of information to be had here and everyone is very welcoming and knowledgeable.

What sort of spirits are you planning on making?

Welcome Dino :greetings-waveyellow:
Have look around in the newbies corner... especially the guide on doing propper cuts, it may help get your % of good spirits up a notch or 2.

Welcome :greetings-waveyellow:

What type of alcohol do you drink? That will determine what still you may want to buy.

Vodka/neutral = reflux
Whiskey and rums= pot
Gin = refux and pot
Or Bubbler will do all of the above.

Hello again,

No i didnt die after my introduction & thanks for the welcoming replies.
I did purchase an Alcoengine reflux unit to fit onto my robo brew boiler, then launched into a TPW and "WOW IM IMPRESSED". I got a great neutral spirit At about 90% or so.

Im now making a new boiler from a 50 l keg & ive purchased a 2" shotgun condenser from a Tasmanian gent that you may know. I intend to use this to make my whiskey etc.

Im only a begginer but im pretty proud of my new boiler project so i will post a few pictures when i get back home.

Cheers to all ! :greetings-waveyellow:
