My mid life crisis...

Say Hi and introduce yourself

My mid life crisis...

Postby GaffaJack » Fri Jun 05, 2020 10:09 am

Excited to have found a new hobby, though I think I had too many to begin with..
The best part is that this one seems to combine nearly all of my other hobbies into one. I love electronics, metalwork, woodwork and just generally tinkering in the shed, coupled with a need to poke thinks and experiment, and finally a love of gin, whiskey and cheap wine!

What could possibly go wrong??
I can feel my wife rolling her eyes as I type... Ah well.

Really chuffed to have found the forum, and hoping to make this a long term project.
Also, as a qualified spark, happy to throw in my two cents if anyone needs assistance with figuring out if something will work electrically. (The usual safety caveats apply)

Cheers,
Gaffa

Welcome gaffa!
The best way to stop those rolling eyes is make their drink of choice or something they may enjoy... helps them see the many benefits to this new venture.

:text-+1: Not kidding! I just got done mixing up another 3L of coffee infused vodka. It's a tough job keeping up with SWMBOs demand, but someone's gotta do it! :laughing-rolling:

Now I don't even has to ask for more supplies, she just brings home all the ingredients we need from the weekly Woolies run :obscene-drinkingchug:

Think I might change my name to Mr D Murphy :))

Yeah its pretty handy when they ask if you need any sugar or other brewing supplies from the shops without any hints or encouragement. :happy-partydance:
