Say Hi and introduce yourself

New to the forum. I hope I'll like it here!

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself as a new member of the forum. I signed up a year ago but haven't really been on the board too much for fear of going broke!

I recently moved to Orange, NSW and the cold start to winter has convinced me its time to start getting into distillation. I've been doing kit and bit homebrew beers for the last year or two and fallen deeply in love with the hobby - the taste and satisfaction from a beer you've brewed yourself simply can't compare with any of the commercially available beers in Australia, and sharing a pint with a friend and seeing the surprise on their face that it's actually a decent beer brings a great feeling.

I've been browsing through a lot of member build threads and am very impressed and excited to be a part of this community!

Cheers!

You can spend as much or as little as you want to get started .
But if the bug bites hard you better be prepared :laughing-rolling:

Welcome Positron.

This hobby can be done on a budget but like most things, you need to compromise.

What kind of spirits are you looking to make?

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

You get used to the winters in Orange.
This one wasn't actually too bad, only a few days where it dropped below 0*c, and only a couple of days where it snowed.

Welcome positron.

Welcome mate! like you I am fairly new. Key to not going broke is listening to those that have done it before and recommend you what to get. Whilst it my cost you a little to begin in the long run, once the investment is done. You're sorted for years...unless you crave more...
