Hi all, thanks for admitting me.

I have been threatening for years to get into distrilling and have finally taken the plunge. I've had a strange little copper still (about 8 lt capacity), for years which I think was hand made for the deceased estate I purchased it from. I also bought an Alcoengine in the past few days. My plan is to try and make Scotch from mash in the copper still and use the neutral spirit from the reflux colum for Vodka and Gin. Hopefully the photo of it has been attached, would like some feedback if someone could have a look at it.

Welcome HMT
Nice little still , apart from the small amount of brass and make sure the lid doesn’t leak

Hi Stig,
The brass nuts are only on the top of a s/steel flange ring that tightens the top of the still down, they don't come in to contact with the product. There is a sealing gasket so no leaks.
