Hi everyone, looking to join the hobby! I'm passionate about cocktails and I've been right into the art for the last 3 years - and now it's led me here.
I drink just about everything, so I want to make just about everything :D - from gins to fruit brandies to rum to liqueurs. No still yet - I've got a build in mind and I'm going to post some questions about it shortly.

Welcome mixo
Lots of builders on here, as well as lots of buyers. They all have their advantages and disadvantages much like the different still types.
Asking questions before taking the plunge is something most of us did not do lol

Welcome Mixo.

Lots of knowledgable and helpful people here. Definitely worth asking your questions before you start. You'll save yourself a lot of grief.

If you want to make gin, I recommend going with a modular design as you'll need two different types of still, one for making the neutral base and one for the gin run. Using modular components means you can save on parts by reconfiguring the still as required.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.
