Another one from WA

Hey

I am new to the distilling caper but I have been aking my own beer for about 6 or 7 years. I bought the Air Still kit from brewcraft with enough dex and turbo for 2 batches.

I just bottled my first Turbo from my Air Still last night. Throwing away the first 50/60ml of nail polish remover and keeping the next 700 ml.

Tastes ok but has that smell that I now know comes from Turbo stuff. The second batch I filtered 4 times and it's a bit better.
I threw the last lot of Turbo into the fermenter last night, don't want to waste it. But I am a fast learner and have just put down 25l of TPW.

Still got a lot to learn but I am so far happy with the Air Still.

Nor, :))

I am mostly a beer drinker. Hoppy pale ales, crisp pilsner, dark stout etc. any good beer really. I only drink spirits with mixers really, wife is the same, and we are drinking more of it lately so I thought I'd have a go. Price in the bottlo doesn't help either.

The tpw has only been in the fermenter for an hour but I will report when it's done, seems popular enough.

Howdy fellow sandgroper. Glad you have started a TPW, you will enjoy the results plus it's cheaper than the turbo. Did you use dex or plain sugar for the TPW?
