G'day Guys and Girls,

Long time lurker first time poster.

I am residing in Brisbane and am 24.

I currently have a 2" Boka with a 50L boiler and 2.2kw element.

I am only very new to it and have made 2 washes, but already loving it, very cheap and my current sugar washes are so much better than store bought stuff!

I am keen to go down the fully natural root, and currently looking for a place to buy live bakers yeast. currently is the only thing that is not "natural", I am using distillers yeast from the same guys who make turbo yeast.

Cheers RN

Btw I woul go direct to the supplier and pay postage as it seems to be a gourmet thing over in the west and those places can charge ridiculous prices

Howdy,

not sure of the gain in using a fresh bakers yeast. It's storage method fresh, dried etc has little to do with the quality of finished product.

Costs, yeah sure sachets of distillers yeast is costly...consider a 500gm purchase of a quality dedicated yeast..less off flavours, generally higher yields, tailored to suit your wash type etc...
