Hi guys
Just thought I would do the introduction thing. I live in Nth Queensland. I am just getting into distilling again after a few years lay off and have just finished making my second still. It has a keg boiler with reflux and pot still attachments made from 63.5mm SS tube @800mm high. I will probably go gas heating source this time. I like to make vodka (and lime vodka) and rum and will be looking for advice to do some scotches and bourbons in the future. The site looks great and I look forward to many hours reading the different sections. Posted are pics of the one I have just made. Catch ya's on the forum

havent ran the new one yet, should do in the next week or two but i used to get 92-94% from the old one which by design was just a little bit smaller than this new one so i expect the same results.

Ok did a run of sugar wash and came out pretty clean, got 92% but I didn't have my voltage controller so after I tweak it I should get 93-4.% not that it matters that much, going to put through a molasses wash tomorrow through the pot and see how it goes.

Put the rum wash through the pot still and got it started and it sat around 84% and ran it all out and used the jars to collect in small amounts for a trial and I was quite happy with the middle portion. Had a couple of drinks the next night and was surprisingly smooth. Going to do another wash run and then run the two batches together and then put it in my barrel. :happy-partydance:
