HI FROM WHYALLA

Hey lads been reading through pages and pages of this forum and its great. I've finally decided to knock up a 4' perforated bubbler, so im off to ADELAIDE this weekend to try and get some gear together. If anyone can point me in the direction of were to grab stuff that would be great.

Welcome mate, for stainless stuff like triclamps and ferrules you can't go past http://www.prochem.com.au if you're near South Rd / Port Rd . You can always just order that gear from Mac though and get it delivered? :handgestures-thumbupleft:

For copper - my fellow South Aussies Sam, bt1 and blond.chap might have some advice for you.

If you want to get a hand on some copper where you are get friendly with a plumber especially one that does more industrial jobs, never know what big offcuts they can get there hands on :handgestures-thumbupleft:

When buying copper anywhere shop around as prices vary massively :handgestures-thumbdown:

Bunnings is your friend for soft solder, flux, torches etc. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Any seals, clamps, ferrules, sight glasses, elements etc can be bought here :handgestures-thumbupleft:

btw if it's copper u got two scrap yards local from memory, hit them up or prefer new?

im after 4' copper pipe 2' copper pipe the rest I can get locally or from mac. Heading to paramount browns this morning but any help would be great. Ive hit up the local scrappies and scored a bit of 3/4 and 1 inch stuff but they pretty much just put all there copper through a shredder :handgestures-thumbdown:

there's a mob done at Pooraka or close to, that had 4" at real good prices...I'll try and find the link.

i went to samios plumbing and scored 2m of 4' after reading 1 of your posts bt1 but couldnt get them to cut a 2' length up so atleast i can make a start. now just have to do an order through mack for some clamps ferrules and sight glasses

hey ako yeah I know what ya mean. Just scored a couple of meters of 4' :happy-partydance: but lucked out on the 2' stuff :angry-banghead: may have to do the shotty outta stainless. Tried the scrappys but they don't like showin what copper they have incase its reconised me thinks :law-policered:
