Say Hi and introduce yourself

It's about time I said

Hello

As I've been lurking here long enough and gaining a lot of valuable knowledge. I started distilling about 5 months ago making firstly neutral, then UJSSM and now onto some rum and DWWG. Very happy with the results so far but always wanting better. It's a real adventure and experience learning the different tastes as things start to develop flavours and thinking about what will happen if I do "this instead of that".

I know I've been lucky to have found this forum and say thanks to all those that have answered the questions and joined in the discussions that I've learnt from. I was also lucky to have bought a second hand still from an experienced home distiller so I also owe a lot to him as it's saved me from making a lot of mistakes. You can do plenty of reading but until you see it done or more importantly do it yourself there are still plenty of wrong turns to take or to take information slightly out of context.

Hopefully one day I might even get to meet some of the other local forum members and we could enjoy sampling each others products. :-D

Cheers to all.
