Been a bit since I asked a silly question & I had a quick look but couldn't find the answer. What percentage do you guys mix at? I did my second wash (dextrose with turbo pack) at 40%, it's not too bad, tastes alright but my god!... It rolls you pretty quick!
Is home brew stronger again or am I doing something wrong?

I dilute to ~42% for drinking, with my whiskeys that is.

Did you temp-correct your reading? Is your alcometer accurate? I bottled my first batch at over 50% when I thought it was under 40%...
