morning all

Say Hi and introduce yourself

morning all

Postby bigcam » Tue Mar 18, 2014 12:26 pm

been building my still and condenser over the last couple of months as budget and motivation permits but im on a roll now just started a rum wash yesterday and its bubbling away nicely  and it didn't overflow everywhere :handgestures-thumbupleft:
50 lt keg with recycled dairy pipe 3" to 2" reducer for the head... 2" fill port and 3/4" drain
2" staino dairy pipe with a 90deg and reducers to 1" ..both ends have the threaded dairy fittings for the head
1" Staino pipe with staino compression fittings down to the condenser
18 feet of 1/2" copper coiled and it sits inside 50lt keg with a water control at the bottom and a overflow at the top
both have staino stands and have built a 747 burner out of staino also
a bit rough but is tough and will do the job. ;-)
also a keg for boiling water and or clarifying the molasses,

issue i notice, inside and with burner?

if that's the case, might want to rethink or google still explosion cause that'll be what you're headed for, unless you've got some commercial exhaust fan inside for ample extraction...

if that's not the case, then NOICE build, nice and shiny looks like it's easy-ish to pack down too with the "dairy" fittings, im guessing you work for/near a dairy?

got an area outside for running it :handgestures-thumbupleft:
the threaded dairy fitting s are pretty good and the staino compression fittings good aswell.
all the pipe was from a dairy that was scrapped, there was so much pipe from 1/2 up to 6 inch ans all the fittings i should have bought more it was cheap per kilo
