Say Hi and introduce yourself

Hello from up North!

Postby SprucesRun » Sun Mar 23, 2014 7:01 pm

Hey everyone,

I've been snooping around these parts reading up on everything I can for the past few months and I've finally decided to join up and say hi!

I got into distilling as a hobby last year and I started off really basic with a reflux still, turbo yeasts and essences. I've moved onto a pot still now and I'm working my way through the fire hose of information learning everything I need to know! So far everything on this site has been extremely helpful and has really got me excited about the possibilities of what I can start doing.

I'm big into my rums so at the moment I've got my 1st generation wash (25L) of MacStill's rum recipe fermenting. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of flavours I can come up with!

My first run on my pot still was using the TPW and to say the least it was an eye opening experience after using turbos! There's definitely no going back now :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys, all advice is welcome! :-D

Thanks guys!

I'll be sure to put the TPW through the reflux eventually. I got a bit ahead of myself because I was just so excited to try the pot still!!
