Yep, as Scalesy said...you're on your way now, and the questions you're asking are all common information in the reading you'll come across here.

That's a good thing, as it means you've got your head in the right place to not throw money away, and can start learning properly about distillation and the associated equipment.

Hope you enjoy it :handgestures-thumbupleft:

p.s. Hopefully you've found how to navigate the forum. If not, click on 'Forum' over on the left on the main page and you can find everything you need in there. If you want to know about pot stills, go into the pot still section and bob's your uncle ;-)

"Also probably a good idea to soak up some info over at homedistiller too, more valuable info from the yanks there too."

Disagree; you'll end up thinking that using a 10L stockpot with a 1/2" worm stuck in the top of it, sealed with flour paste, is the way to go...

Yeah good point. its also a very cluttered forum. But I was a member there first and still got a fair bit of usefull info from their sticky threads and some of the builds. Just have to be mindful what you take in.

Don't forget those butterfly clips and a thumper made from a glass jar :shifty:

Good on ya supra,

A plan to build the right gear!

The pot won't be much hassles...what type condenser for the pot are you planning?

Well the lieber one looks so easy to build. I'm not too sure if different condensers actually do much different but I'm a Fridgie by trade and no quite a lot about water cooled condenser. I was as also thinking of a little one in the 2inch as a small reflux. Have the option so when I do a spirit run might be able to get a bit more of an alcohol percentage. I wondering what the whose and foes are tho of doing that. Abviously I won't connect both condensor up unless doing a spirit run
