The First Post

Hopefully not the last.

Hi all, i recently got into this hobby after trying a bottle of bourbon that was given to me by a neighbour in return for a couple of bottles of home brew beer.... I've normally got about 200l on the go of a variety of styles.

I got chatting to the bloke in the HBS and found myself buying a previously enjoyed T500 for a good price.

I've had a few washes go through now, and I'm not 100% happy with the taste, so I looked on the web and found you merry bunch. Had a bit of a lurk and a bit if a read and here I am.

What is probably my last turbo is festering in the fermenter, and next up will definitely be a TPW.

That's me.

Hello.

welcome to the forum mate and may i say you have done the right thing by ditching the turbo wash and going over to the tpw it is far cheaper to make and tastes a whole lot better than the turbo stuff what do you like to drink ?

Thanks one, thanks all.
I'm essentially a beer drinker, lived in UK for many years and love a decent British bitter, the Poms make really good kits when I can track them down, and I stick to them.... The kits are easy, cheap and the water here is just right for them......on the spirits front I like an Irish whiskey, Bourbon or Rum. Having said that I'll try most things. mrs likes a Brandy or Rum.

It's a lot if fun experimenting with flavours. I reckon I've got a long way to go yet though.

Once again, thanks for the welcome, I'm hoping to be a nuisance asking questions, and you never know, I might even be able to put something back.

Cheers!
